Oh yeah ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) Either way, the twins were always the most annoying bosses in the series. I was always sure to have at least a couple continues saved up by the time I got to them for the second time at the end of the first game. I still play through SoR2 every now and then. Got my Genesis hooked up at all times for that and Thunderforce III. And Aaron's right. Best game in the series, and maybe the best beat-em-up ever.

This reminds me... I need to find a second Genesis control so my brother and I can replay Streets of Rage 1 again before he goes off to boot camp...

I never heard of it, but the pictures posted in this thread make it look pretty good

I've never played Streets of Rage 2, but I know that Streets of Rage 1 was an awesome game, so I'd be willing to bet that SoR 2 is awesome as well. It's just a really fun franchise, from what I've experienced of it.

SoR2 pretty much improves upon every aspect of the original. Better graphics, better backgrounds, better in-game music. Co-op is an absolute blast. My favorite game on the Genesis.

Really? I may have to go looking for a copy, then. If I'm going to be looking for a new Genesis controller, I might as well. Because if SoR1 was awesome and SoR2 is supposed to be better, then I'm all for it.

Yeah, it's a terrific game that still holds up well today. Only takes a couple hours to beat, but it's the kind of game that I find myself going back to time and time again. The genre at its best.
SoR3, on the other hand, was a disappointment. Fun on its own, but not as good as the first two IMO.

Music wise (Yuzo Koshiro is a beast of a composer), I prefer the first game to SOR2, and the first game will always be my favorite anyway just because...I dunno, nostalgia. But SOR2 is greatness.

Just for fun, here's Attack the Barbarian (SOR1 Boss Fight theme) remixed with Holla if ya Hear Me by Tupac. www.youtube.com/watch?v=no0zY069Spo It's absolutely sick. Check out Yuzoboy's channel on youtube, he has a lot of awesome remixes of SOR music and stuff from other games Yuzo Koshiro composed for.

Love the SOR trilogy. I own 1 and 2, need to get my hands on 3 one of these days. I found all 3 of them to be incredibly fun. They're my favorite overall series of video games. *thumbs up*

The only SOR game i can beat. i can beat it without continues, or tweaking the live amount. you earn enough extra lives by the end to survive all the way through. i start Lose lives by the ship level. damn that boss at the end of the level.
