Wow, you know I completely forgot about these things until now. It's something that I didn't really notice when it stopped but there was still an air of "Something's missing".

Oddly, I have more toys now than I did when I was a kid, I think. Partially because I followed through with what my parents always told me when I asked for a toy... Me: Can I have a new Transformer? Parents: When you're old enough and you have your own money, you can buy all the Transformers you want! Needless to say, they regret putting that thought into my head now. ;D

I actually recall popping on the TV just to check out the original TMNT cartoon during its dying days sometime in 1997 and seeing one of these ads. And a little piece of me died that day when I realized that I was in eighth grade and watching Saturday morning cartoons.
