you know....looking back I've had a lot of cool jobs
I had my own talk show on college radio, I had a number of positions at my college newspaper, and right nowI'm writing the yearbook for a semi-pro football team

One of the coolest jobs I ever had was one I had in elementary school; I was paid a dollar a day to walk a younger girl home, and I got to leave school early because her grade got out before mine did. And as she lived right along the path I took to walk home anyways, I was effectively being paid to walk home early.
Another cool job I've had (if the first one doesn't count) is my current one... but I believe I've already expressed enough love for that one! ;D

Pro wrestler. "Gopher" at a beach club. I have some horror stories from that place, but overall it was pretty cool. Some people might think it's 'cool', I wrote three pornos.

I worked at a local Saturday night racetrack on one of those party decks that host corporate parties. We had the best view of the entire track, and all we had to do was cook on a grill and serve food. This took about one hour of time. The rest of the time we were basically paid to watch the races and drink pop (we ate the leftover food too, although technically we weren't allowed to do that).
Best part was is that we got paid above minimum wage, and we got tipped very well (usually a $75-150 tip was split between 3 of us).
Other than that, my current job at Gamestop is pretty cool. I get to work with what I love, and our store is usually dead half the time, which means I can pretty much take it easy on any given day.

I've held one job, and that's at a warehouse. But since I'm friends with the manager and I've been there for a while (the latter meaning that I've got a comparitively pretty solid pay), it's a far better job than it otherwise would be.

Working in a warehouse can actually be quite fun, in my experience, as long as you don't mind hard work.

Well, the environment's pretty casual. Long as you're cool with the other people there, they're cool with you. Works out nicely.

That's how the warehouse I worked at was like. Everyone more or less got along with each other, and when left to our own devices we had a good time. Corporate office sucked, though; they had a habit of switching things up just to make things miserable for us, and tried their best to leach all of the fun out of the work-place.

That's fortunately been a rare occurance where I am. I mean yeah, it happens sometimes, and there's not a whole lot that you can do about that. But a few of the guys have run the gauntlet, so to speak, and are still around. So we've either got some really merciful guys running the show or there's more connections than a bad soap opera.

I wish it had been rare at my old workplace, but Goodwill treats its stores like prostitutes. Some get treated nicely, with gifts and love. Others (such as the one I worked at) get smacked around all of the time. They were always trying to tell us that we didn't know how to do our jobs, and were forever finding less efficient ways for us to do them.
Still... I'll always get a kick out of the fact that I was fired for correcting the District Manager's spelling.

Spent 5 years working in a video store in the mid 90's. Days were easy, few customers. I'd spend the day watching movies. I got the new releases and dibs on the promotional cardboard displays and the posters. Worked for over minimum wage to do little to no work.
