So it's not just mine? Cool.
I mean, it doesn't really matter. Like I said, I have the Premium version, and in car mode they're similar enough that I probably wouldn't be able to tell them apart. It's only in robot mode that you can see differences (namely, the head and the cannon arm), so keeping my ROTF Bumblebee in robot mode works just fine, particularly since I keep them all in-package anyways.

I liked Transformers: ROTF, but I felt the beginning of the movie was abysmal. It's like it was written by a combination of the people who make teenager romances and the schmucks who write fart-joke wielding family comedies.
That being said, all parts following that eventually more than made up for it.

When you say the beginning was abysmal, do you include the scene featuring Sideswipe taking out Sideways and Optimus fighting Demolisher in that assessment?

No, I'm talking about the dogs humping, the woman who played Shia LeBeouf's mom running around all high, Megan Fox randomly tearing off her biker gear and having lingerie underneath (blatant fan service) and having a quasi-romance scene, et al.
The intro scene was awesome, but I came to see nothing but the Autobots and Deceptacons kick each others' asses. Not see Megan Fox's ass.

Ah, alright. 'Cause I can see why one wouldn't enjoy the college stuff, but I'd be confused if someone thought the first Transformers battle scene was abysmal, as that's the sort of thing most people likely enjoyed the most.

No, I loved the battle scene in the opening. But I thought that what immediately followed it was very weak. Less than halfway through the movie, it picked back up pretty well so I can't complain about the movie as a whole.
I just have a gripe with a part of it.

I actually enjoyed the scenes with the parents. It helps the film seem more like an all-purpose thing: it had funny stuff, good action, sad moments, etc.
About the only funny thing I wasn't crazy for was Wheelie humping Megan Fox's leg, but that got such a huge laugh in the crowd that I can't hold a grudge against it (and I'll admit, I laughed, too, in spite of myself).

Yeah, I thought the Wheelie thing was kinda lame too, but the parts that came directly before and after were both solid so I didn't mind it as much.
Sadly I got the impression they were really trying to overdo the whole "MEGAN FOX IS HOT MEGAN FOX IS HOT MEGAN FOX IS HOT" thing early on...and at random points it seemed like they were veering towards that again. I'm glad that they didn't, though, because the action scenes were REALLY good.

The only time I felt like they were pushing the "Megan Fox is hot" thing was towards the beginning when she was changing clothes. And, I gotta admit, I enjoyed the scene.
I did get a huge kick out of the scene where Alice put the moves on Sam in his room, though. I got the feeling that a lot of people didn't know she was a Decepticon, so when the tail slipped out it caused a lot of horny guys to suddenly gasp in horror.

Yeah, there were some guys sitting next to my friends who made these horrible expressions, as if they had suddenly lost all faith in humanity as well as "other things."
I laughed when that happened, though. Not because of their unfortunate experience but because of the scene itself.

Any Thoughts on how they used Soundwave

I think he was used just fine. It might have been nice to see him transform and kick Autobot ass, but since he survived they can always do that in the next movie, and him doing the satellite stuff really worked well, I think.

Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that box office returns for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have smashed the previous box-office record for a Wednesday opening in the United States.
The movie grossed at least $55 million yesterday, even $10 million higher than their own studio (Paramount) estimated. The box office overtook by far the previous record holder, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at $44.2 million. The $55 million take on Wednesday now means the movie is on track for a $170+ million 5-day opening.

I really can't say I'm surprised. Based on how well the first movie was received, I knew this one was going to kick major ass at the box office.

Is that a reissue of the G1 Perceptor, or are they giving him a new mold? Either away, methinks I shall add him to my collection when he's released.
I'll pass on that four-figure box set, though. I already have each of those figures; I don't need to get them again.
