Waterworld gets s*** because it sorta bombed (in the US at least, didn't it make it's budget back worldwide?), not because it was a bad movie.
Nice to see someone else digs The Fly remake. I like both, but I may prefer the 86 version because it's so sickening.

The Fly seems to be another of those classics that everyone but me has seen.

Have you seen "Naked Lunch" and "Eastern Promises"? Because you didn't mention them, and they are two other Cronenberg movies.
"Naked Lunch" is f***ing nuts! As for "Eastern Promises," I thought it was pretty good. And, that fight scene in the steamhouse was excellent.

#95 Galaxy Quest Yes, on one level it is a Star Trek spoof and it is funny and clever. However, the movie would've been amiable without actually meaning something. This movie is truly about Tim Allen's character arc from turning something like William Shatner to something like Patrick Stewart. It doesn't hurt that everyone else is also dead-on in their roles like Alan Rickman doing Spock, Sigourney Weaver doing Counselor Troi, and Tony Shaloub being an anti-Scotty. This movie does hit at the funny bone and at the emotional level. Awesome Moment 1: Alan Rickman comforting a dying...alien with his catchphrase and meaning it....still gets me a bit choked up. Awesome Moment 2: "What you fail to realize is that my ship is DRAGGING MINES!" Awesome Moment 3: Tim Allen vs. The Rock...Monster

#94 Babe Roger Ebert once said that a children's movie was where adults were bored, an adult movie is where kids are bored and a family movie is where no one is bored if it's good. Babe is a prime example of a family movie. It's adorable without being too sweet and that is a very fine line to tread. To see it tread at all is worth saying but to see it tread well as here is worth praise. And then there's James Cromwell, the glue that holds the movie together as a man of few words, he is the underlying reason of why the movie works. Awesome Moment 1: "That'll do pig." Awesome Moment 2: James Cromwell's dance of life Awesome Moment 3: Babe sheep-herding...the sheep

#93 Jurassic Park Another movie based on spectacle but with the added benefit of being ground-breaking as well. Distilled to it's core it's a standard monster movie with dinosaurs chasing and eating the puny humans. What sets it apart, besides the amazing effects making us believe that dinosaurs have come back to life, is Spielberg's sure directing. He makes us believe that all the dinosaur chases are fresh and filled with tension. Also, there is a little detail that I love...both Sam Neill and Laura Dern have groan-inducing one liners "Mr. Hammond, the phones work" and "I think we'll back in business". Immediately afterwards, they're both attacked by raptors, like a punishment for saying such a bad one-liner. Awesome Moment 1: "Faster, must go faster." Awesome Moment 2: The T-Rex reveal. Awesome Moment 3: Mr. Hammond's poignant speech to Laura Dern about his flea circus

#92 Ed Wood Widely considered one of the worst directors ever, Ed Wood had a very interesting career. And yet, only Tim Burton had the balls to not only do a biopic but a good one at that. Anyone could've been tempted to make a mockery out of Ed Wood but Tim Burton was one who brought respect to him and his stable of actors. The fact that both Johnny Depp and Martin Landau both gave career-defining performances as Wood and Bela Lugosi, respectively. It almost makes one have a movie marathon of Ed Wood movies because of this. Awesome Moment 1: "This is the worst coffin I've been in!" Awesome Moment 2: Ed Wood meeting Orson Welles Awesome Moment 3: Bela Lugosi's funeral.

#91 Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi The first Stars Wars movie on the list...and it will not be the last(However, Episode I and II will not be on the list). Yes, this is my least favorite of the original trilogy but by no means is it bad, New Hope and Empire were just better...plus they were ewok-less. However, we did get to see Jabba for the first time...well, before the re-releases and Episode I and the Emperor in the flesh...well, before the Prequels. There is a certain giddy joy at the very beginning when all the heroes come together at Jabbas Palace and the havoc placed upon it. And the final battle at the second Death Star is a triumph of visual effects making it a suitable climax for the saga. Granted, this isn't the best film to end the saga, it is still a very good one. Awesome Moment 1: Destruction of Jabba's Palace Awesome Moment 2: The second attack on the second Death Star Awesome Moment 3: Luke meets The Emperor
