#66 The Manchurian Candidate (1962) I'm getting the nervous/exciting shivers just thinking of what to say about this. This movie flips between political-horror, thriller and even comedy but it all plays these genres equally well. Hell, even the shot composition is genius like when Laurence Harvey kills the Senator and his daughter. Harvey only does four basic poses but he plays it so robotic, so calculated that one is almost tempted to review the scene frame-by-frame. This broke most of the rules on screen violence and brutality. There's brain matter, head shots and even a karate fight that destroys most of the furniture. And who said the 60's where ruled by hippies. As for the remake....good try, but every little idiosyncrasy's that I like were eliminated so rent it. Awesome Moment 1: Sinatra vs. Silva...so sudden and random but so awesome Awesome Moment 2: The ending Awesome Moment 3: Angela Lansbury explaining her evil plan

#65 Se7en The year was 1992, David Fincher made his movie debut with Alien 3. We all know what happened but beneath the studio interference and the generic nature of the movie...the was some near-brilliant moments. Fast-forward three years and David Fincher unleashes Se7en...a movie filled with brilliant moments. A movie with a world where it's always cloudy and/or rainy. The only time there is a clear, sunny day comes the powerful ending where there's even more pain and suffering. It truly is one of the greatest depressing movies ever...truly breathtaking. Awesome Moment 1: Sloth Awesome Moment 2: Wrath Awesome Moment 3: John Doe's apartment

#64 Toy Story When I saw this in theaters, this blew my mind. I knew a world had opened up with CGI-animation and I wanted to inhale every detail of this world. When the VHS tape came out, I don't know how many times I watched it. I only stopped when my mom told me I was wearing out the tape and the vcr would eat it. I'll be honest, it's been years since I've seen this but I still remember it with a vividness that's almost scary. I still remember all the times I laughed, when I was scared and everything. But there's one thing that's for certain, it was the start of Pixar's domination of the animation world. Awesome Moment 1: Woody's reveal to Sid Awesome Moment 2: How you truly fall...with style Awesome Moment 3: "You...are...a...TOY!"

#63 Superman Very few comic book movies could be great ones....this is one of them. A movie that literally spared no expense in production. We almost believed a man did fly. We were there when Superman had his 12 year lessons with Marlon Brando. This feels so spot-on to the Superman mythos that it's almost makes me want to tear up in admiration. And you can't say anything about Superman without mentioning Christopher Reeve. He is the glue that held the movie together and that is why there will never be a Superman quite like him. Awesome Moment 1: "Do you know why the number two hundred is so vitally descriptive to both you and me? It's your weight and my I.Q. " Awesome Moment 2: Marlon Brando's training to Superman which lasts 12 years Awesome Moment 3: Superman solving his problems the super way...by turning back time by turning back the Earth

The only Superman movie I've ever seen is Superman Returns. I'm sorry. Me too. While I don't think Superman Returns was as terrible as some people make it out to be, it certainly wasn't a film I care to see again. But then, I dislike Superman, so maybe I'm just biased in thinking it wasn't too good a movie. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

#62 The Iron Giant This is, without a doubt, Vin Diesel's best movie. Yes, he was in it....yes, I'm serious, he was the Giant. I first saw this on Cartoon Network's 24 hour marathon of this. I saw about 10, maybe 12 hours of it, that's how much I loved it. At it's core, it's a boy and his pet movies that are designed to tug at the heartstrings and boy, by the end, does it ever. And the animation....an awesome throwback to 50's Disney with the Giant being made in CGI. It truly is an underrated classic. Awesome Moment 1: Hogarth teaching the Giant to talk Awesome Moment 2: "Superman." Awesome Moment 3: "Launch the rockets now!"

#61 Planet of the Apes(1968) Before the almost-good remake...before the sequels...there was the original Planet of the Apes. It starts off calm as a crew prepares to hibernate for a couple thousand years going at light-speed for about 10 minutes but suddenly it's balls-to-wall survival as the ship crashes in a lake and one crew member is dead. What awaits the survivors is nothing they could ever imagined...a planet where apes evolved from men to be the overlords! On a final note, without Charlton Heston, this movie would still be an amazingly-paced, skillfully directed satire/action movie but with him at his most pompous is a 60's classic. Awesome Moment 1: Heston's crazy man laugh around the beginning Awesome Moment 2: "Get your hands off me, you damn dirty ape!" Awesome Moment 3: "A planet where apes evolved from men?"
