Well..............here we go again
Here's what didn't make the cut
3 Shrek 2 (9)
Like the first Shrek, this is a wild send-up to various fairy-tales and potions, but this time...on crack! In the wrong hands this could have turned into a jittery, unfocused mess but it survives all that to be funny, exciting and even touching at times. Everyone is on point in this, even the newbies like John Cleese, Antonio Banderas and Larry King...as an ugly stepsister. At it's core, this movie is just plain, really awesome fun making it the finest Dreamworks movie out there.
Awesome Moment 1: Shrek's and Donkey's new-found beauty Awesome Moment 2: Meeting the in-laws Awesome Moment 3: The Holding Out for a Hero montage
3 The Jerk
3 The Pacifier
2 The Nutty Professor (Eddie Murphy) (6)
2 Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Innovative and a blast to watch, those are two descriptors that any movie wants blaring on its posters, video covers and ads. Usually most movies that blare these are out-of-context or made by quote-whores...but not Roger Rabbit. Take away the entertainment value (I'll come back to it in a second) and you have two types of lessons being taught: a film lesson in combining animation with live-action and a cartoon history lesson where virtually every Warner Bros. and Disney character appears in this. But only a fool would take away the entertainment value as the movie is a mad combination of noir and slapstick cartoon comedy. I will even go as far as to call this movie genius in it's techniques and construction I cannot say enough good things about this.
Awesome Moment 1: The opening cartoon Awesome Moment 2: Eddie Valient's trip to Toon Town Awesome Moment 3: What Judge Doom really is
1 Naked Gun (4)
In 1982, a show called Police Squad debuted on TV. It lasted 6 episodes and was canceled....mostly cause it wasn't very good, best viewed through the memories of nostalgia. So the cast and crew laid in wait for 6 years, fixing the show's flaws and waiting to unleash this new form of the show...in movie form. So, what else can I say? Pretty much nothing without fear of accidentally ruining the best jokes, this needs to be watched with virgin eyes! GO, this will be waiting.
Awesome Moment 1: I'm dead serious Awesome Moment 2: about not spoiling anything Awesome Moment 3: for you.
1 Shaolin Soccer
1 Burn After Reading
1 O Brother, Where Art Thou

I'm the only one to vote for Meet the Parents? Wow. Of all the films I voted for, I figured that one as most likely to get votes from other people as well.

tie at the 20th spot...both got 7 votes ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/70/Movie_poster_Dodgeball_A_True_Underdog_Story.jpg) Dodgeball ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f5/Airplane%21.jpg) Airplane Airplane is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing for it brought in the golden age of Saturation Comedies like the Naked Gun series but a curse for bringing all the other movies that usually end with "movie". However, there are three clear difference between those movies and this: Airplane's funny, focused and has a plot. Sure it doesn't have a strong plot but it's there instead of what happened in the last 6 months in pop-culture. This is full of opportunity for laughs that the team of ZAZ have no trouble finding. I don't want to give away too much but there is Lloyd Bridges and Robert Stacks lampooning their image of the straight-laced hero in many ways and visual word puns like when reporters says "Let's take some pictures", they literally steal some photos from the nearest available wall. As for Airplane II, it's alright but it only has real awesome line and that's apparently in the TV cut, "Looks like I picked the wrong week to be senile!" Oh, and if you can track down Zero Hour, it's Airplane! but older and I guess more serious but it's mostly older. Awesome Moment 1: Robert Stack vs. Buddhist Monks Awesome Moment 2: The voice of Nanny from Muppet Babies translating jive talk for a stewardess Awesome Moment 3: "Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking/amphetamines/sniff

tie at 24...these all recieved 8 votes ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8e/Office_space_poster.jpg) Offce Space ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b9/Hangoverposter09.jpg) THe Hangover [img[http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7b/Blazing_saddles_movie_poster.jpg[/img] Blazing Saddles ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/18/Drstrangelove1sheet-.jpg) Dr. Strangelove I said Kubrick would be back, here he is and no, he won't be back cause Dr. Strangelove is Kubrick's best. This may also have the ballsiest premise on this list "Mutually Assured Nuclear Destruction is funny!".....and Kubrick actually makes it funny. Now Kubrick isn't known as a comedy-of-any-kind director, even though the first third of A Clockwork Orange had moments of great humor, so the fact that he conquered comedy just expanded his range that much more. The genius of this is almost subtle but completely brilliant. Everybody is simultaneously over-the-top and grounded. The fighter pilot is an extreme trigger-happy Texan, the Russian premier is a drunken idiot, the President is ineffectual despite him being likeable, and George C. Scott is the normal one, despite his war-lust and the fact that 15-20 million dead Americans is justifiable in a Russian Land War. It's all quite mad and yet quite funny and I will say this again, this is Stanley Kubrick's best movie. Awesome Moment 1: President Muffley's apology to the Russian Premier Awesome Moment 2: "He'll see everything, he'll see the big board!" and George C. Scott stumbles, falls and gets right up like nothing happened. Awesome Moment 3: Dr. Stangelove's evil hand doing the Sieg Hiel

4-way tie at number 28 ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b2/Rain_Man_poster.jpg) ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b5/Young_Frankenstein_movie_poster.jpg) ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d6/Tropic_thunder_ver3.jpg) ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/49/Monty_python_and_the_holy_grail_2001_release_movie_poster.jpg) Monty Python and the Holy Grail Monty Python...the funniest Brits plus one American ever genetically engineered(except Terry Jones, he was like the Danny Devito to the others Schwarzenegger, the genetic excess crap). They exploded with their show and then soon after branch into movies starting with Now Here's Something Different, unwatched by most everyone and I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the troupe didn't either. So they waited and a few years later came back with The Holy Grail. This time, more people watched it....a lot more. And it hits the ground running with the opening credits being subtitled in Swedish, then it stops translating and starts talking about moose. After that, we got the Knights of Ni, a random historian being killed by a random knight, "I'm not dead yet!" and the Evil Beast of ARRGGGHHHH. It's like a forerunner to the saturation comedy's made famous by likes of Airplane! and Naked Gun. After Holy Grail, came Life of Brian which had a story at the expense of laughs(it's still really good and still funny though) and the horrifically uneven Meaning of Life. Then they broke up and Graham Chapman decided to die making future reunions impossible...even though we did come close with the virtual reunion on the Meaning of Life DVD, I guess that'll have to do. Awesome Moment 1: Black Knight Awesome Moment 2: "Just then, the animator died!" Awesome Moment 3: "Then they ate the minstrels and there was much rejoicing."
