Rain Man a comedy? Who voted for it and what I'm guessing you can't tell the difference between comedy and dramedy...was it you Mr. Emoticon Man? It's a comedy-drama, with the key word there being "comedy", so I voted for it. If bob chooses to disqualify it for being a bit more than a barrel of laughs, then fine, but I'll stand by my vote for it as it's a damned funny film.

You need to, dude. It's a great movie, and a better comedy than most movies that focus on being comedies.

this is the final tie this week I've seen both of these and encourage others too ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/84/Caddyshack_poster.jpg) ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e5/Dandrposter.jpg) This proves that a good sequel can be made out of anything if the writer has something to say about the characters from the previous movie. Let's face it, sure Clerks II looked awesome on the surface but wasn't the story told completely in the first one...and the animated series to a lesser extent. Did we really want the clerks old and learning important life lessons like marriage and friendship? Turns out, yes we did....badly. While Chasing Amy proved that Smith had a heart, we never expected him to put a heart in the clerks. Dante is getting married and moving away, Randal is suffering a mid-life crisis because of it and Jay and Silent Bob are sober....but still dealing. By the end, it almost brings a tear to the eye when it's all said and done. Awesome Scene 1: Star Wars vs. LotR Awesome Scene 2: The 1979 montage Awesome Scene 3: "Oh no, gotta finish." “I miss my donkey”

and then there were 3....... I've seen all 3 and like them a lot coming in at number 3 with 17 votes ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/50/Clerks.jpg) Remember when I said Kevin Smith has done one better movie than Dogma, this is it...obviously. Kevin Smith comes here with a raw, cheap look at the life of clerks and then came the View-Askewiverse and all the college cult appeal, but all well-earned college cult appeal...not the creepy Hot Topic college cult appeal. Kevin Smith has a sense of dialogue here that seems real. Take the scene where Dante and Randall are debating about the status of the Death Star Contractors from Return of the Jedi. It really does feel like two nerds without lives outside of movies talking really talking about it....and for the record, I am one without the job. While Kevin Smith has come close to equaling Clerks, he has not topped it even though the drawing poster of Zach and Miri Make a Porno comes close. PS: The Zach and Miri is funny, but not as good as Clerks, Clerks II, Dogma or Chasing Amy Awesome Moment 1: The Star Wars scene Awesome Moment 2: Silent Bob speaks...it blew my brother's mind when he did Awesome Moment 3: "My love is a ticking clock....BERZERKER!" (3)

number 2 had 18 votes for it I haven't seen it in years ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/64/Movie_poster_Anchorman_The_Legend_of_Ron_Burgundy.jpg) Will Ferrel's best movie, oh sure Talladega Nights is fairly funny and Elf had moments of brilliance but nothing can ever top the manic energy of Anchorman. Now unfortunately, I can't make this any higher because of legendary first draft of Anchorman, a group of anchorpeople that survived a mid-air collision must fight hunger....and ninja monkeys that throw ninja stars instead of their poop. If that was made, this would surely be top 10 but alas, we get a manic send-up on 70's news which is almost as good. The movie does have the feeling like it's being made up as it went and that's part of the genius. There's a real danger that the movie may literally fall apart and there's almost a perverse pleasure in seeing that. The other Ferrel movies are now too controlled, you don't get that feeling that the movie may fall apart in pieces. At least we always have Anchorman...even without the ninja monkeys. Awesome Moment 1: Anchorfight! Awesome Moment 2: "Dorothy Mantooth is a saint!" Awesome Moment 3: "LOUD NOISES!" (2)

and there was one......it was a controversal movie that offended many people, but damn was it funny ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1e/Dogma_%28movie%29.jpg) Yes Kevin Smith has done ONE better movie but Dogma is clearly his smartest and bravest movie. Only Kevin Smith would have the balls to call out the Catholic Church on its beliefs, even though the whole protest thing was blown out-of-proportion. Smith calls out the belief on God being a man, the religious system and everything being carried out in God or Jesus's name. But it is a Kevin Smith movie so there are his trademarks like Jay and Silent Bob, Star Wars, other movies references and the View Askew-verse. So yes, this movie is funny but it also has intelligent ideas in there as well. One last note, even Linda Forentino may be a complete and utter bitch, she does give the best performance in a View Askew-verse movie, only Rosario Dawson in Clerks II comes even close to her and I shudder to think what Jeanne Garafelo would do if she was the lead like Kevin Smith wanted. Awesome Moment 1: Chris Rock's debut Awesome Moment 2: Alan Rickman's debut Awesome Moment 3: Jay comparing his adventure to Star Wars (1) There’s a s*** demon….

Eh. I didn't bother, 'cause mine would have consisted of "I think it's funny", "I think it's funnier than the last movie on my list", "I think it's funnier than the last 2 movies on my list", etc.
