JON LOVITZ was an SNL castmember from 1985 to 1990. He's also made numerous cameos in the early 90s, and hosted the show in 1997. His characters include Tommy Flanagan, the pathological liar; Santa Claus's Jewish counterpart, Hannukah Harry; Mephistopheles, the Prince of Darkness; Annoying Man; Evelyn Quince, effete host of Tales of Ribaldry; and Master Thespian, the greatest actor in the world. Jon's impressions include Andrew Dice Clay, Harvey Fierstein, Gene Shalit, Michael Dukakis, Ron Jeremy, and Michael Vale (the "Time to Make the Donuts" guy). "The Best of Jon Lovitz" DVD is available at my local FYE. Maybe yours, too. I dunno.
Lovitz's non-SNL output includes voice work on The Simpsons several times, and providing the voice of Jay Sherman on both The Simpsons and his own show The Critic. Lovitz has also appeared in films, such as Little Nicky and The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler, iThree Amigos! with Chevy Chase and Martin Short, Big and A League of Their Own with Tom Hanks, The Great White Hype with Damon Wayans, High School High, City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold with Billy Crystal, and others. He's also appeared at the Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget and co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards in 1995 with Courteney Cox.
TIM MEADOWS was an SNL castmember from 1991 until 2000. He's made a couple of cameos since then. His most famous character is Leon Phelps, the Ladies Man, though he's also created characters such as Captain Jim, an intelligent sea captain who often hung around the idiotic crewman Pedro (played by Adam Sandler); Lionel Osbourne, oblivious host of the African American show Perspectives; a Bill Brasky buddy; Pimpin' Kyle, who showed up on Pimp Chat, with Tracy Morgan; and the robot-dancing Dr. Steven Poop. His impressions include both Bryant and Greg Gumbel, Darius Rucker (of Hootie and the Blowfish), Tiger Woods, Puff Daddy, OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, and Erykah Badu, among others. He's also provided Weekend Update with commentaries about hockey. Meadows does have a "Best of", but its only available on VHS.
Meadows has also had roles in films such as Wayne's World 2 with Dana Carvey and Mike Myers, Coneheads with Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin, Mean Girls with Tina Fey, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and Semi-Pro with Will Ferrell. His Leon Phelps character was adapted to film in The Ladies Man, and he's also been featured on the tv shows The Colbert Report, According to Jim, and The Bill Engvall Show.
