JOHN BELUSHI was an original castmember on SNL, bringing his comedy to late night television for the first 4 seasons. After leaving the cast, he returned for cameos in 1980 and '81. Belushi's characters on the show include Jake Blues of the Blues Brothers; Jeff Widette, a man who, like the rest of his family, has a comically large butt; Kuldroth the conehead; and Samurai Futaba, who owned his own deli and occasionally went disco dancing (like in the sketch "Samurai Night Fever"). John's impressions include Elizabeth Taylor, Elvis Presley, William Shatner, Joe Cocker, Marlon Brando, and Roy Orbison, among others. He was also the subject of the horror-spoof sketch "The Thing That Wouldn't Leave" as an obnoxious houseguest, performed in the very first SNL sketch as a man trying to learn English (particularly, learning sentences that have to do with wolverines), and starred in the short film "Don't Look Back in Anger" as the last surviving original SNL castmember visiting the graves of his castmates. Belushi's "Best of" DVD is available, and he earned an Emmy for writing on the show.
Belushi's film credits include 1941, Neighbors, and The Blues Brothers, all co-starring Dan Aykroyd, and the classic comedy Animal House. Belushi and Aykroyd also released albums of their music as the Blues Brothers, to much critical and commercial success.
HORATIO SANZ was an SNL castmember from 1998 to 2006, and after leaving the show made two cameo appearances in 2007. Horatio's most notable characters include Gobi, co-host of the college webcam talk show Jarret's Room (with Jimmy Fallon as Jarret); Rick, the stepfather of Amy Poehler's hyperactive Kaitlin character; Frankie Hilbert, the usually drunk/burned out Boston teen (along with Fallon and Rachel Dratch's characters Sully and Denise); and a Jeffrey's clothing store customer who wears unpopular/outdated clothing, much to the chagrin of the highly trendy employees of the store. Horatio's also performed impressions of celebrities, such as Aaron Neville, Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Joel, Gene Shalit, Elton John, Camryn Manheim, Jerry Garcia, and Ozzy Osbourne. He also filled in as Weekend Update co-anchor with Amy Poehler while Tina Fey was on maternity leave.
Horatio's credits beyond SNL include roles in Road Trip, Tomcats, Boat Trip, Step Brothers with Will Ferrell, Year One, and Hollywood & Wine with Chris Kattan and Norm MacDonald.
