ADAM SANDLER was an SNL castmember from 1991 to 1995. He's made cameos in 1996 and 2002. Sandler's characters include Gap girl Lucy Brawn, the sexually violated Canteen Boy, current events singer Opera Man, The Herlihy Boy (who just wants to watch your house while you're away, sleep in your bed, and be your dog), and Hank Gelfand (whose wife irritates him to no end by reading the Zagat's guide to him), among others. Sandler's impressions include Bill Cosby, Bono, Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen, Pauly Shore, and both Mark and Donnie Wahlberg. Perhaps Sandler's best known work is his songs, in particular The Chanukah Song, Lunch Lady Land, and odes to unwed mothers for Valentine's Day and his red hooded sweatshirt. Adam's "Best Of" DVD is available.
Sandler has become a top-grossing film superstar since leaving SNL's cast. His films include Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, Spanglish, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Little Nicky, Bulletproof, and the upcoming Funny People. Sandler has often given his friends from SNL roles in his pictures, as Kevin Nealon and Jon Lovitz appear in Little Nicky and The Wedding Singer. Sandler's Happy Madison Productions company also produces many pictures starring Sandler's SNL friends. These films include Master of Disguise with Dana Carvey, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Joe Dirt and The Benchwarmers with David Spade, and several others. Adam has also released a few comedy albums, such as They're All Gonna Laugh At You and Stan and Judy's Kid, which also feature his friends and SNL castmates.
JANEANE GAROFALO was a castmember on SNL during the 1994-95 season. While on the show, Garofalo performed impressions, such as Jackie Stallone, Hillary Clinton, Jodie Foster, Madonna, and Susan Sarandon. She's also appeared as a Japanese woman on a game show (alongside Chris Farley who doesn't understand what's going on) cutting off her fingers for getting a question wrong, and she's appeared in commercial parodies like the Eterna Rest coffin mattress and the Bathroom Monkey (which is an actual monkey trained to clean bathrooms), she's played Iris in Taxi Driver: The Musical, and she's been a teacher in an adult workshop on how to perform better in the bedroom, alongside Chris Elliott (yes, I'm making you picture the two of them doin' it! PICTURE IT!).
While her time on SNL was short, Garofalo has worked quite a bit with SNL alumni. She's had roles in The Cable Guy and Mystery Men with Ben Stiller, Half Baked with Jim Breuer, Jiminy Glick in Lalawood with Martin Short and Jan Hooks, and Southland Tales with Jon Lovitz, Cheri Oteri, and Amy Poehler. She was also a co-host of MTV's 25 Lame counting down the 25 worst music videos of all-time, alongside Chris Kattan, Denis Leary, and Jon Stewart, she's co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards in 1996 with Ben Stiller, and she's been in films such as Wet Hot American Summer, The Ten, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, and The Truth About Cats & Dogs.
