DAVID KOECHNER joined the cast of SNL for the 1995-96 season. While on the show, Koechner was one of the original Brasky buddies, telling tall tales about his mythical friend Bill Brasky. He also showcased the character of Gerald "T-Bones" Tibbins (who would feature on The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show on Comedy Central), and Gary MacDonald, Norm's fictional brother. He also performed impressions of Mike Ditka, Oliver Stone, Pat Buchanan, and Willard Scott.
While his time on SNL was brief, Koechner has worked with SNL alumni on film, including his role as a car salesman (whose trunks are full of dead hookers) in Dirty Work, as a pilot in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, playing Champ Kind in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and additional roles in Talledega Nights, The Brothers Solomon, and Semi-Pro.
GILBERT GOTTFRIED was a castmember in the 1980-81 season of SNL, before he developed the persona that is now his trademark. While on the show, Gottfried provided the characters of cranky Jewish talk show host Leo Waxman, a spokesman for the Tobacco Growers of America, a "Crime Forecaster," and Mr. Speedy, a shady "business associate" of Eddie Murphy's Mr. Robinson character. He also gave an impression of film director Roman Polanski.
Since SNL, Gottfried has gone on to become a bigger name, and has appeared in such films as Beverly Hills Cop II, alongside SNL alum Eddie Murphy, the Dr. Dolittle film with Murphy, Chris Rock, and Norm MacDonald, Clerks The Animated Series alongside Five-Timer Alec Baldwin, and a mulititude of other projects. He also appeared in the documentary "Lost and Found: SNL in the 80s" discussing his time on the show.
