I may have to vote for Cady for two reasons:
1) He is a mean, persistant son of a bitch
2) Cape Fear NORTH CAROLINA! NC represent! Yes, Cape Fear is a real place in NC.

When you have an accent that stands out to even the people that live in that place, odds are you're going over board with it. That's not to say that there aren't people like that though. But when I can hear the characters have an accent, that means it's so thick it's ridiculous. People from other places may not hear a difference, but we can. |

Movie accents are usually over done I find. When you have an accent that stands out to even the people that live in that place, odds are you're going over board with it. That's not to say that there aren't people like that though. It's mostly the way he said COME OUT COME OUT WHERE EVER YOU OOOOOOOOOOOOOOR that gets to me. Another movie that gets to me with that is Nights In Rodanthe. Being I have tons of family on the Outer Banks, specificly in Frisco which is just south of Rodanthe (I have to go through there to visit them), and the fact that the movie was filmed on the Outer Banks, every time they screw up I cringe. Like when they give every islander character the Ocracoke accent. The "Hoi Toiders" if you will. Plus the way he took to even get to Rodanthe is so screwed up. They show him traveling over Herbert Bonner bridge which would mean he's traveling south, but then they show him taking a ferry boat... but the next ferry he'd get to would be in Hatteras village which means he would have traveled straight through Rodanthe/Waves/Salvo (it's three small villages formed as one), then Avon, then Buxton/Frisco, then Hatteras. So not only did he pass right through the place he's "headed" to, but the ferry would either be taking him to Ocracoke or Swan's Quarter! My grandmother was around there when he was shooting that ferry scene too. She works in a motel in Hatteras. |
