A local McDonald's has been rebuilt recently, and now the drive-thru features a split to 2 different ordering stations. You still pull up to the same pick-up window, but now two cars can place in an order at once. And while it seems pretty interesting, I can also picture some trouble at the spot where the two lines merge back together.
Anyone else ever been to a fast food restaurant with that sort of set-up?

Yeah, you mean where they have two order menu machine things, right? Yeah. Ordering stations, order menu machine things... whatever you call 'em, the new McDonald's in my neck of the woods have 'em.

You could probably make a small fortune filming the chaos that sounds like it'll cause and then posting it up on YouTube or something. I mean, really, why did that seem like a good idea to them? It'll be Hell Incarnate during lunch hours...

They've been doing that for a while at a couple of them here. One of them has had it for years.

They've been doing that for a while at a couple of them here. One of them has had it for years. I've seen em around, too. It sounds complicated, and you know, in today's txt-heavy society, I can see a lot of trouble happening, but in reality, it's only the skills of the driver that makes it look complex. A person paying attention and looking at the road in front of them shouldn't have an issue with it. Again, this is where the problem comes in. ;D

Plus the McDonalds that have these at my place have never had troubles. The worst I've seen happen is people maybe get confused on which one to order at. But I haven't seen any ramming into one another over it.

So kinda like Checkers (aka Rallys)? No, it's still one line, but it has to places that are able to take your orders. It's for when they are really backed up during peak hours. They can take two cars worth of orders at once then.

Yeah, the set-up I saw at McDonald's doesn't look like the one in that picture.

Yeah all Checkers and Rallys have that double sided set up, but that's not what MEM was talking about.

Hell yes they are. And oh so bad for you.
Speaking of that, Man vs. Food is on right now. That's the epitome of "I wish this stuff wasn't murder in a meal" because it looks so good, but it's so awful for you.

You ever see that episode of the Boondocks where Grandad makes a Half Pound Burger with Three Kinds of Cheese and Krispy Kreme Donuts instead of a bun?
That's real Y'know
