Yes cause every actor gets great roles all the time. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Don't roll your eyes at me...he CAN turn things down you know. Sometimes....SOMETIMES.....maintaining your credibility and keeping your stock high is more important than CONSTANTLY taking whatever job is out there. Acting is one of those professions where once you DO hit a certain level, you no longer have to accept whatever rolls are thrown at you. I mean, if they offered him the roll of a compulsive masturbating, heroin addicted baboon....should he take that too? You keep cranking out turd sandwiches in Hollywood, you know where that lands you? The Surreal Life, or some other reality HELL. You keep taking ANY role that comes your way, and soon you won't HAVE as many, because you lose all the esteem you had built up. Rock COULD have been the legit sucessor to Arnold, had he played his cards right. But he just took a nosedive straight into the REJECTED SCRIPTS pile and never has come up for air. Even Vin Diesel saw the light eventually.

Or it would be 90 minutes of The Rock Rock Bottoming punk kids for their teeth, that's the greatest movie of all time.

There is nothing wrong with taking the occasional role like this to break up the monatany of what an actor usually does (kind of like Arnold's Kindergarden Cop, Twins, etc). But the problem is, this hasn't become the type of role The Rock takes as a break from the norm and to do something different, this has become his norm!

Comon even Clint Eastwood and John Wayne had roles they took that were out of the element for them , but it never hurt them. This is a case of looking to much into something.

Doom sucked, and if thats how his actions movies are gonna be. I'll take the comic Rock.

I don't think that anyone's arguing that Doom was a cinematic master peice. Our main point is we want Rock the action star and not Rock the Family star. I think everyone here realizes there is nothing wrong with taking a family role every now and then, but it's been going on non stop for a while now.

But what makes Rock the most money? Being the action star or the family one?

But what makes Rock the most money? Being the action star or the family one? The family movies do make more money than the action movies by far. And here's how I rate all The Rock's movies I seen out of 10: The Mummy Returns - 7 The Scorpion King - 6 The Rundown - 6 Walking Tall - 4 Gridiron Gang - 7 The Game Plan - 2 So he should obviously do more sports movies.

The only movies of his that I've even bothered to see are The Rundown, Scorpion King and Gridiron Gang (which was excellent, btw), but I've boycotted the rest due to the fact that if his movie career flops, then maybe, just maybe, he'd come back to WWE. And that alone would instantly make me start watching wrestling again.
