So, as some of you may know, my brother decided to become a mega-idiot for his fiance. Since then, stuff between them and my parents has gotten pretty icy, and she has regularly sent long-winded, bitchy text messages to my mother in hopes of manipulating her, hurting her, or whatever it is she hoped to accomplish with such actions.
Tonight, after doing it once again, I decided to respond in kind.
Here's the text message(s) I sent her (it was too long for a single one, apparently):
"This is {insert my name here}, {insert her name here}. Now, listen here you witch-faced bitch. My parents, particularly my mother, have done nothing wrong; all they've ever done is be concerned parents.
Your constant bitching towards my mother, your melodramatic rants and pity parties, have gone on for far too long. I'm sick of these pathetic attempts of yours to hurt and manipulate her.
If your parents have something to say to mine, tell them to stop behaving like 12 year olds and say it to them themselves. Using you and {insert my brother's name here} to do it is both childish and tired.
If you yourself feel the need to manipulate someone with a whacked out guilt trip, try it on me; I like a good joke. But, trying to hurt my mother? These "woe is me, you're so mean" texts you like sending her? That stops now.
From now on, everytime you harrass my mother, I'll do my best to be the one to respond; and trust me, you don't want that. My mother is a nice person who indulges your antics; I'm not, and I won't.
And when you whine to {insert my brother's name here} about this, remind him of this: she's his mother too, even if he doesn't act like a son worthy of the name, and if he pulls a gun on me again I won't react as a brother, letting it slide. Not again.
Also, just so you know, I don't care about you, him, or this foolhardy wedding that you're rushing towards. I would be quite happy if I never had any contact with you again. I just want you to leave my mother alone. Do that, and you and I will have no more problems. Understood?"
It felt really, really good to get that off my chest.
