Yeah it was just lines from the theme song.
It's the equivalent of saying the Ninja Turtles are heroes in a half shell.

Exactly.
There's some knowledge that you just can't escape, even if you're a non-fan. Key lines associated with franchises and used in their marketing are examples of such.

Good news, TF fans! (or not, if you don't like the movies ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ) According to that nifty Box Office Mojo site, ROTF has made $342,305,825 domestically and $711,619,956 worldwide, meaning it has now surpassed the total gross of the first Transformers movie.

Awesome repaint. I finally got around to fiddling with the Soundwave from the preview wave, and I gotta admit that I really like the robot mode as a display piece. The alt-mode(s) could've been better, though.

It's the same as with any other Transformer: it transforms from vehicle mode (or beast mode, in some cases) to robot mode.

Sometimes that's true, but sometimes they're really, really good at making a beautiful alt-mode with little to no kibble.
If you looked at it from the bottom, though, you'd see robot bits, and then you might have an idea on how to transform it.

I'm still holding out hope they'll make an updated version of Soundwave for the next Universe/Classics line, similar to how such classic characters as Optimus and Megatron got new toys in the first Classics line. And if they don't, I'll probably just look into getting the Music Label version, as it looks cooler to me.

Is it kind of sad that when I was out and saw a DVD of Transformers on sale that the first thing I thought of was Mr. Emotionman?

No. In fact, I find that to be rather flattering.
