I prefer the G1 Series Not to take anything away from Beast Wars it was a great show If I had the rank the series I would say 1. G1 2. Beast Wars 3. Animated That's cool. G1 is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the greatest cartoons of all time. Personally, though, I just enjoyed the more serious nature of Beast Wars, and the character of Dinobot in particular. His death in the series may have ticked me off as a kid, but dang if it wasn't one of the coolest things I've ever seen on a tv.

G1 and Beast Wars were awesome! Animated looks interesting, I might check it out when I have the time. The Armada shows got on my nerves, but I'm a fan of their toys. Transformers 2 is going to rock this summer! Animated is alright. I'm not a huge fan of its animation style, but I have to admit that it allows the show to look a bit distinct. And yeah, the Unicron Trilogy had some excellent toys... save for Hotshot. Even the retooled version released in the Universe/Classics line couldn't get me to enjoy that toy, and I typically enjoy any Transformer figure that doesn't break. And yeah, Revenge of the Fallen is going to be awesome. And, hopefully, it'll outperform Transformers 1 so we can get even more TF movies.

I'm sure we're all well aware that I'm appreciating Transformers currently.

You should, dude. I've got all but the 2 Leader Class figures (who I plan on getting eventually) and Voyager Optimus Prime (which I don't plan on getting), and they all look pretty good.
I've only opened up the Scout class figures so far, though. And of them, I think Knockout (a green motorcycle) is the best, but even the ones I weren't thrilled about (namely Rollbar the Redbull Truck) are pretty sweet little things.

I picked up a couple of the figures today I brought Soundwave Brawl Sideswipe Starscream

Wait... Brawl? Was he the Brawl from the 2007 movie, or the Deep Desert Brawl that's supposed to see a release in the new line?

I like Starscream.
That's all I really got to add.
Also: Megatron is a gun.

Megatron's G1 design is definitely bad-ass, but I can understand why more recent incarnations of the character depict him as being a tank or a jet rather than a gun. For one, it's probably easier to market the character to kids since most parents likely won't want to buy them toy guns. And for another, it just seems odd that the main villain's big move is to turn into a weapon so that someone else can make use of him.

Any news on whether Soundwave from the movie is going to have the classic vocoder voice?

I've read at a few places that Frank Welker is doing his voice, so I think there's a decent chance that Soundwave's voice will be very G1-like.

YYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
It's stupid, but that's enough reason for me to want to see the movie now.

Yeah, Frank Welker getting the role is awesome, and helps add to how cool the ROTF Soundwave is turning out to be. Him, Sideswipe, and Knockout are probably the coolest characters to come out of the new toyline, in my opinion.

And I've heard Ravage and Laserbeak are going to be in the movie with him as well. Hopefully Rumble and Frenzy are too.

Son of my mother! I guess that means Wave 2 of the toyline is out already. And I've heard Ravage and Laserbeak are going to be in the movie with him as well. Hopefully Rumble and Frenzy are too. "NOBODY calls our boss unkrasmatic!" Ravage definitely is. I don't think Laserbeak is; though there are Laserbeak-like pics of a toy floating around, I think it's just the Ravage toy transformed improperly. And Frenzy was in the last film and got destroyed, remember? And as the Barricade toy no longer comes with Frenzy, I'm going to take that as a sign that he's not coming back. (Though, after reading the prequel novel, there seems to be indication that he's still somewhat alive...)

Well I guess then that Rumble is going to have to take the reigns for his brother. Speaking of...how exactly can robots be siblings again?

Also Hasbro couldn't put him out in stores as a gun because of toy laws that's why for G2 his alt mode was a Tank .They can't even reissue the Classics Megatron They said the only way the States would ever see a reissue of G1 Megatron in stores would be if they would paint him all orange

Yeah, they had to make his updated Classics toy from the 2006 line a very Nerf-like gun to compensate for the toy-gun laws. Realistic guns like the original Megatron are now a no-no.
And as for how robots can be siblings... who knows. Much like the question on how a Transformer can be female, I think it's the sort of thing that rarely sees even an attempt at an answer.
