It was great.
Did you get to see it on a Digital screen or an IMAX, Kash?

This movie lived or died by the casting of Kirk and Spock and damn if Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto aren't living the characters.
I saw kids about six to ten come out raving about this movie to their parents thats cool for the future of the franchise.

Digital, but I could have seen it in a broken viewfinder and still would have loved it. The storyline was fun and an imaginative way to re imagine the Star Trek world. The actors playing these now iconic characters stayed true to the character's roots, while giving these beloved figures a fresh look.
I haven't had that much fun at a movie in a long long time.

Oh I would have loved it no matter what to, it's just this movie looks like it was made for the Digital screen.

I don't care for Star Trek too much, and even I thought it was a pretty good movie.

A lot of people have been like that Emoticon. This thing is making people who would have never watched Star Trek come out to the theater.

I ended up going for the same reason that I almost went to see that new Sam Raimi horror flick, and didn't really expect to care about the movie itself; I just needed something to kill some time. Still, it ended up being a fun outing.
I doubt I'll go back and watch the tv shows or buy the toys or anything, but if they produce a sequel I'll definitely see it.

I liked episodes of all the Trek shows but have always preferred the movies more.
Hell I even like Final Frontier and Nemesis.

I really liked it.....thought that Pine lived up to every bit of Shatner's legacy, and the stuff early on with McCoy injecting Kirk with the virus/vaccines was flat out BRILLIANT.

*sigh* Yup, I think I'm officially all alone in thinking that this movie ISN'T the second coming of Jesus Christ.

I've never seen a Star Trek episode in my life, and thought this was the best movie I've seen this year, was just great fun.

*sigh* Yup, I think I'm officially all alone in thinking that this movie ISN'T the second coming of Jesus Christ. I don't think the movie is THAT good. I wouldn't even say it's the best movie I've seen this summer, let alone the entire year. I just think it was a fun movie, is all. Nothing truly special, save for the fact that I didn't think it'd be as good as it was.

I felt the same way back in the day with all the Lord of the Rings hype. Didn't want to piss people off, just preferred if folks didn't ask me about it or insist I comment on it. Clerks II's Randal scene finally gave my usual rant something to have my back. Thank you Kevin Smith! ...that said. THIS MOVIE WAS F***ING AWESOME!!! Star Trek has restored my hopes that someone can rehash a series well instead of pooping all over it. Well this and Christopher Nolan. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Phenomenal movie, and great portrayal of Kirk by Pine.

Yeah, I think the entire cast did a pretty good job, Pine in particular. I think it would have hurt the movie if Pine had tried to act like William Shatner while playing the role of Kirk, but apparently he didn't, so it was all good.

Great movie. I'm more of a casual fan of Star Trek, I'd watch TNG when it was on, but wasn't rabid or anything.
I absolutely loved the movie. Fun movie that didn't stray too far from the feel of the original show at all. All the casting was pretty much dead on, too.
